My Vision For Battle Ground
As a candidate for Battle Ground City Council, Position 5, my core values are the bedrock of my campaign and my commitment to serve this community I love. At the heart of who I am is my faith in Jesus Christ, which guides my personal life and my approach to leadership. My faith calls me to serve with humility, integrity, and a deep love for my neighbors, ensuring that every decision I make reflects a commitment to the greater good of Battle Ground. While my Christian beliefs are my foundation, I deeply respect the diversity of thought and belief in our community, and I’m here to represent every resident – regardless of belief system or faith – with fairness, compassion, and an open heart.
I am a Constitutionalist, firmly believing that the Constitution of the United States is the highest governing authority – the “king” of our constitutional republic. This sacred document, along with its amendments, protects our fundamental rights, and I will uphold it in every aspect of my service. I stand for the right to bear arms, ensuring our families can protect themselves in an uncertain world. I champion free speech, so every voice in Battle Ground can be heard without fear. I support legal immigration, welcoming those who seek to contribute to our community while respecting the rule of law. And I believe in capitalism, which fosters innovation, supports our small businesses, and empowers individuals to build a better future through hard work and determination. My commitment to these constitutional principles ensures that our city remains a place where individual liberties are protected, and government serves the people – not the other way around.
Integrity and moral character are non-negotiable for me. I stand for a government of the people – one that prioritizes the voices of our residents over the influence of lobbyists and bureaucrats. Our city council should be a reflection of our community’s heart, not a platform for special interests. I’ll work tirelessly to ensure that our local government operates with full transparency, providing clear, honest communication about every decision that affects our lives. I believe in clean air, water, and food, and I’ll advocate for policies that protect these essentials while fostering sustainable growth that benefits everyone.
As a leader, I’m committed to being approachable and attentive, listening intently to the voices within our community, even those with unique perspectives. Battle Ground thrives when we come together, and I’ll seek to better our community as a whole, not just a select few. This means addressing the issues that matter most to our families: making our streets safe for biking, curbing speeding with grant-funded solutions, and ensuring our children have access to new baseball fields, soccer areas, hiking trails, and indoor recreational spaces. It means protecting our rural charm by prioritizing single-family homes over large developments, preserving green spaces, and increasing our green canopy for a more beautiful, sustainable Battle Ground. It means lowering water bills through innovative partnerships and securing grants to fund improvements without increasing taxes on our families. Above all, it means keeping our community safe, through robust policing, the creation of a Neighborhood Watch Program to ensure our city remains the charming town we all love – safe and sustainable for all
My vision for Battle Ground is rooted in the belief that government should empower its people, not control them. I’ll work to secure grants, donations, and sponsorships to fund our initiatives, ensuring fiscal responsibility while delivering the improvements our city needs. I believe in a government that listens, acts with integrity, and puts the community first – values that reflect my deep love for this town and its people. Twenty years from now, I want our children and grandchildren to look back and see a City Council that planted seeds for a thriving, united Battle Ground – one where Main Street prospers, families grow strong, and our constitutional freedoms remain secure. Join me in building that future, grounded in love, integrity, and the enduring principles of our Constitution.
